Here is a purported photo of Canon’s next DSLR, the EOS 30D. Argued to be designed to compete directly with Nikon’s D200 the 30D closely resembles a 20D with minor differences; the body appears slightly smoother.
What do you think? Is this for real?

Update
Another name that seems to have cropped up is the Canon EOS 35D. That would be a departure, but who knows at this point?

Another name that has been floated for this camera is the 3000D. Since Canon already had a D30 model, anybody’s guess is valid.

Konica-Minolta is no more. Konica-Minolta withdraws from Camera and Photo business. Probably the most unexpected news pre-PMA that is. I mean most people are speculating what Canon will do to replace the EOS-20D and this comes in from the left field….
