The Fujifilm FinePix E900 is an ultra high resolution camera that is a good at taking high quality pictures — though you’ll bump into its flaws while doing that.

Packing a powerful 9 MP 5th Generation Super CCD HR sensor - the highest resolution available in a consumer digital camera — the FinePix E900 joins Fujifilm’s already popular E-series line of cameras and continues the tradition of point-and-snap ease and photographic essentials such as image quality, form factor and powerful feature sets including manual controls, found in all E-series models.

“In my opinion, the E900’s most serious competition is Canon’s superb A620. The A620 is in virtually every area of consideration other than native resolution (the difference between 7 and 9 megapixels is much less obvious than the difference between 4 and 5 megapixels), a better imaging tool than the E900. So, unless you need the few extra millimeters of wide-angle coverage or plan to enlarge lots of your images to poster size, my recommendation is to buy the A620. You’ll end up with a better camera and save yourself some money.”
