The Sony Cybershot H2 has a six-megapixel imager and an two-inch LCD. The H2 flaunts a Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar 12x optical zoom lenses and focal length ranges of 36 to 432 millimeters (35 mm equivalence). “High-zoom cameras are one of the fastest-growing segments in the industry,” said James Neal, director of digital imaging products at Sony Electronics. “They are powerful enough to get those hard-to-see distant shots, and have the easy-to-use functionality of point-and-snap cameras.
CNET has reviewed the H2 and rated it 7.2 out of 10 or Very Good. Here’s what they had to say-
“Sony’s Cyber Shot H2 is a competent megazoom and, given its attractive price, would make a nice step up for snapsnapers or advanced amateurs who don’t want the inconvenience–or need the power–of a dSLR.
The bottom line: The megazoom Sony Cyber Shot H2’s long, image-stabilized lens should have the soccer moms drooling–as long as they stick to the lower ISO speeds.”
