Sporting the most compact 10x zoom lens to date, the Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ1 has a lot to offer. The DMC-TZ1 is a long zoom digital camera with 5MP resolution, a 2.5-in. high resolution (207K pixels) LCD monitor (no viewfinder) and easy-to-use Scene Modes.
It features 10x optical zoom on a Leica lens with the image stabilization that has made Panasonic digital camera famous. The lens focuses as close as 5 cm (2 in.) in macro mode. Shutter speed ranges from 8 - 1/2000 sec. and, using Starry Sky mode, you can go down to 15, 30, or 60 sec.
Cameras.co.uk have put the finishing touches on their full review of the TZ1 and had this to conclude-
“The Panasonic DMC TZ1 is very compact for a digital camera with a 10x optical zoom. It is small enough to slip into a large pocket. Picture quality is good and the camera is also very easy to use.

There is a lot to like about the Panasonic DMC TZ1. With its ten times optical zoom in a compact body it offers something different. It provides plenty of zoom power whilst allowing you to carry the camera around easily. Picture quality is very good and the camera is also easy to use.”
