2006 is the year in which we began seeing 10 megapixel cameras start to make it to the mass consumer population. Is this overkill? Some say there’s no point in buying 10 megapixel digital cameras if the resolving power of the lens is only run-of-the-mill, as seen in compact cameras. The other factor is the in-camera image processing power and quality. Certainly if the lens and processing is up to par then why not 10 megapixels? You be the judge.
