The 6.3 MegaPixel FinePix F30 is the world’s first point-and-snap digital camera for consumers with full-resolution ISO equivalency speeds as high as 3200 – a setting previously reserved for advanced consumer and professional digital camera models. Higher light sensitivities allow the FinePix F30 to snap with faster shutter speeds, which lessen the likelihood of blurry pictures caused by ever-active children, fidgety pets, dim ambient light or camera movement due to an unsteady hand.

CameraLabs has now posted their Fujifilm Finepix F30 Digital Camera Review and had these comments-

“Decent performance under low light cannot be underestimated for a compact digital camera, as it’s arguably where it will be used more than any other situation. After all, while compacts are perfectly good for capturing outdoor shots under bright conditions, many end up working hardest indoors or at evenings, photographing people in often relatively dark surroundings.

Here the F30 excels, offering very natural flash performance or even the option to shoot without the flash altogether thanks to unusually high ISO modes. Boasting a 3200 ISO option, the F30 offers higher sensitivity than any other compact and indeed many DSLRs too. It also inherits the Aperture and Shutter Priority modes of the European-only F11.

So while the F30 may not be the slimmest or sexiest compact, nor offer anything as glamorous as a touch-sensitive or flip-out screen, it does deliver great-looking photos under the kind of conditions most rivals would struggle. Its low light capabilities still lead the market whether you’re shooting with or without the flash, and there’s sufficient quality and creative control to keep most enthusiasts happy. We can confidently recommend it to anyone.”

I have heard many good things about this digicam from all the major review sites. This model actually stands apart from the crowd, and sounds like a clear winner from Fuji. This one gets my on my Recommended Christmas gift this year.
